SMALL GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING

My small group personal training programs are designed to offer the benefits of personalized training in a group setting, allowing clients to receive individualized attention while also enjoying the motivation and support of a small group of individuals—all at an affordable price. My small group sessions are just $10/session per person, through the Ashland Senior Center. In 2025, classes will be offered at the Oak Street Dance Studio in Ashland.

Weight and cardio training are essential to staying strong and vital during older adulthood. Benefits include prevention of osteoporosis by stimulating the growth of muscle and bone, mental and emotional health, improved immune system, and most importantly lower risk of falls, metabolic diseases and cognitive decline. The holistic approach I use, developed by the Functional Aging Institute, not only fosters individual progress but also strengthens social bonds, as participants embark on their wellness journey alongside friends. The camaraderie and support within these groups not only foster accountability but also facilitate the adoption of healthier habits, creating a sustainable framework for long-term well-being. Moreover, by offering personalized attention each participant receives tailored guidance, maximizing the effectiveness of their workouts and promoting overall health optimization.

BALANCE IN PLACE

Do you or someone you know need help with balance and fall prevention? Developed by Elizabeth Morris, personal trainer and functional aging specialist, and Lisa Ralston, a physical therapist with more than 25 years of experience, the 12-week program is partly seated, partly standing (holding on to a solid surface), and includes some weekly walking (homework). The program can also be delivered on a 1:1 basis, using online resources, video meetings and recorded lessons as well as printouts.

We currently have a waitlist for our next 12-week course, beginning in September of 2025. Please email balaceinplace@gmail.com for more information.
